About

Mishka Henner is a Belgian-born artist based in Manchester, UK. His work explores how images shape what we know, believe, and overlook in a world defined by cameras, networks, satellites, algorithms, and screens. Since 2010, he has made extensive use of found imagery, public data, Google Earth, Google Street View, live webcams, YouTube, patent archives, and artificial intelligence to examine the cultural, political, and industrial systems that structure contemporary life. Artists’ books and editions have been central to his practice, from Photography Is and Fifty-One US Military Outposts to Astronomical, No Man’s Land, Less Américains, and Eighteen Pumpjacks. His works move between books, prints, videos, installations, and online forms, often treating publishing as both a method of research and a way of sending ideas into the world. His work is held in major public collections including Tate, Centre Pompidou, MoMA, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the National Gallery of Art, Washington DC. He received the ICP Infinity Award for Art in 2013 and was shortlisted for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize.
