Entering Transition is an attempt to describe the moment of transition. The focus is not on the nature of the before or after, but on the events in between. Experience a transition can be characterized by feelings of fragility and uncertainty. On the other hand, a floating state can also awaken a euphoric power.
For the exhibition at Material Zurich, Sybill Häusermann created works in various media. In doing so, she engaged in political perspectives as well as drawing on intimate motifs in her own biography.
Entering Transition ist der Versuch, den Moment des Übergangs zu beschreiben. Im Zentrum steht nicht die Beschaffenheit des Davor oder Danach, sondern die Ereignisse im Dazwischen. Das Erleben eines Übergangs kann geprägt sein von Gefühlen der Fragilität und Unsicherheit. Andererseits kann ein schwebender Zustand auch eine euphorische Kraft wecken.
Für die Ausstellung im Material hat Sybill Häusermann Arbeiten in unterschiedlichen Medien realisiert. Dabei hat sie sich sowohl auf politische Perspektiven eingelassen, als auch auf intime Motive in ihrer eigenen Biografie zurückgegriffen.
