International Artist’s Book Student Competition — BookVision V / Open Call

The Book Design Studio of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava, in collaboration with VŠVU Bratislava, MOME Budapest and UAP Poznań, announces the fifth edition of the international student competition of artists’ books and their interdisciplinary extensions.
The competition is open to all students of art universities and faculties of education whose work engages with artists’ books, book objects, and other multimedia overlaps. The competition is the largest international showcase of student artists’ book production, fostering mutual inspiration and connecting dozens of faculties and universities from many countries around the world.
A new feature of this year’s edition is the expansion of activities and the establishment of close cooperation with partner universities abroad (VŠVU Bratislava, MOME Budapest and UAP Poznań). During 2026 and 2027, we are planning a travelling exhibition, workshops, a discussion platform, and a conference dedicated to the contemporary artists’ book. For this reason, BookVision will transition to a biennial format, meaning the next opportunity to apply will be in two years.
