Isola, Isola!

ISOLA, ISOLA! – EXHIBITION & BOOK PRESENTATION

For the first exhibition of the new year, Convent is very pleased to present Isola, Isola!, a project by the Danish artist Kasper Andreasen (°1979, Copenhagen). In 2016, Andreasen went on a residency on Isola Comacina, a historical island situated in Lake Como. As a result, the artist will be showing his diaristic material, consisting of an extensive diary, drawings, photographs and a short film, together in a constellation, as a way of mapping out the island’s historical traces and present-day activities.

The exhibition opening will also serve as the launch of a new pocket-sized book, the first artist’s publication written about Isola Comacina. Isola Comacina is published by APE (Art Paper Editions) and designed in collaboration with designstudio 6'56".
