Come with us into the Flatlands, an imaginative world of Zuni Halpern. The new artists’ book released by Edition Taube is launched at the artists’ bar of Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich. Join us for the gathering and to get your signed copy of the book.

Flatlands is a psychedelic trip through the two-dimensional world of cartoons. Zuni Halpern elevates familiar characters like Mickey Mouse or figures from Sesame Street to an almost intangible level. The boundaries between reality and dream dissolve in a colorful parallel universe. Through the combination of various printing and drawing techniques such as lithography, watercolor painting, digital processing, and neon offset printing, the images create their own ethereal visual language; as in “Monoprints” (2013), “Elephants” (2021), and “Sensible Chuckles” (2022), Zuni Halpern takes us on a journey through her surreal image worlds.
