"Alfabeto bianco" is the result of a residency won by Alessandra Baldoni thanks to the Arteam Cup competition, in Sassello (Savona - Italy). She stayed ten days in November 2021 inside a refuge in the mountains, surrounded by nature. A workshop conducted with a group of children, led her to think about the theme of childhood, a territory full of enchantment and at the same time terror.

"L’ultimo viaggio / The Last Journey" is inspired by Giovanni Pascoli’s poem "L’ultimo viaggio" (1904) and it begins where the Odyssey ends. Alessandra Baldoni tells the nostalgia and feelings of Ulysses, his restlessness, the wound that brought him to Ithaca and then made him leave again.

"Favola Camping" was born from a commission. SiFest entrusted me with the census of a part of its territory, that of Savignano Mare which extends all over 241 meters of beach owned by the historic Camping Rubicone..
"During my week at the campsite I tried to tell something different from what was obviously shown to me. Rubber, flesh, sun, colors, scorching sun, plastic and forced happiness from a holiday marked by the same music all day every day. The quintessence of the Riviera Romagnola in a period where - after a forced imprisonment - everyone seems to run twice as fast, move faster, scream louder and have to have more fun than usual.
I started wandering around at night and looking for shadows, cracks, worries. The unspoken that enters dreams with a start, the unspoken word, the hidden fear. I watched guided by the children, by the darkness that always eats feet and rises, by the feeling of danger that transforms the harmless games of the day and the beach into monstrous creatures. I had them tell me about the forest - the forest that is always a hell because it leaves us exposed, a mouth that chews us up and spits us out, a cut that remains and overflows over the years until it becomes the devil's granary, the place where creativity is born.
The hell I tell about comes from the known, from the usual, it is made of the tools we handle every day. It resembles fairy tales where things happen suddenly, fraying the fabric of reality. It is a nearby, small, silent hell where things shift meaning, make you dizzy, tremble in the dark and open up into questions while we look at ourselves in soapy mirrors.” – Alessandra Baldon
