Notes
Axel Koschier is a speculative catalogue that shatters the classic genre of artist monographs and embraces interpretation and fiction as an integral part of an artist’s biography.
For many years, the artist Axel Koschier has been collecting questionnaires. Some of which he filled out and were given to six authors – none of whom knew the artist. Inspired by this data, the authors have written autonomous texts ranging from the artists’s early childhood to his psyche. Just as the blur of the transparent paper the artist’s personality seems to dissolve in the book. And at the end there is not one artist Axel Koschier, but many of them.
