Wanting to make something organized and systematically structured but simultaneously unfocused and distracted, Hwang Eunyoung started to arrange apples, folded papers, and wood boxes according to several contrapuntal rules. After seeing them distract each other, she put them back on a page. With the memory of playing a piece of Bach’s Invention on the piano when she was a child, her goal was to make a simple and small structural joke on that.
