Proposals is a compilation of text pieces by the British artist Peter Liversidge. Using the conceptual format for which he is best known—the proposal—Liversidge suggests a number of potential projects to be realized with the help of Printed Matter, Inc. The proposals, sent to Printed Matter during the spring of 2013, range from the practical to the understated to the absurd. Typewritten, marked throughout by tiny errors, and delivered with dry, formulaic wit, the 28 proposals compose a work that’s at once endearing and disarming.
