This book contains 144 Japanese bound pages presenting previously unpublished work by George Tourkovasilis (1944–2021), a photographer and writer who lived between Paris, London, and Athens. This first volume presents his private archive: silver gelatin prints, negatives and digital files blend intimate moments with sociological observation. After his death, Akwa Ibom, Radio Athènes, and Melas Martinos curated his archive and mounted three exhibitions: Spent, The Night, Sleep, and Strange Switch, which are documented here.
