A catalogue published on the occasion of Miao Xiaochun's solo exhibition, entitled 'Linger', or 'Verweilen' in German, held at the Gallery Urs Meile, Lucern, from 30 August to 12 October 2002. The exhibition features a series of photographs which the artist completed after his return to China from Germany. According to Pi Li, Miao's choice of placing a historical figure amidst the urban environment of the country can be seen as the artist's reaction towards the rapid social changes which China is undergoing.
