Publisher Note

In her photography Tina Cosmai creates surreal and metaphysical scenarios, in order to reflect on the relationship between humans and landscape in a post-human condition.

"An unlikely seaside landscape hybridized with industrial settlements, where the sea represents the only escape route. The emergency exit for individuals crushed between the factories that have proliferated close to the coast and the port infrastructures that have sprung up in front of the beaches. The act of faith of men who escape the claustrophobic grip of progress, seeking a direction that will lead them beyond the "last resort".- Gigliola Foschi

Tina Cosmai thus introduces her investigation that focuses on the human condition and her metaphysical shots, characterized by a refined chromatic minimalism, allow us to reflect on the human condition in the age of technological domination.
Via di fuga a mare (Escape route to the sea) is also the writing that stands out on a signpost corroded by saltiness and human neglect, overlooking a distant, almost invisible sea.
And then, in a blue sea that disappears into infinity, we see carousels and skittles jumping, huge geometric figures being created in the atmosphere that men must live with – projections of our mental “games”. Cosmai’s world is a light and serious world, in which the wonders of the mind and the realities of everyday life coexist and intertwine.
