Quotes

"Cathedral Cavern is a set of 12 drawings presented like a succession of frames extracted from an imaginary film, filmed during a double eclipse. A suspended time, from the interior of the caves to the fossil bodies." (Nieves)

Publisher Note

Cathedral Cavern is a set of 12 drawings presented like a succession of frames extracted from an imaginary film, filmed during a double eclipse. A suspended time, from the interior of the caves to the fossil bodies.

Chloé Poizat lives in Paris and works in Le Pré Saint Gervais. Her work is about fiction and the special bond she has with literature, film and photography. These influences, which cross and agglomerate in a subtle and sometimes subconscious way, are delivered through strange, enigma, grotesque and fear. The disappearance of beings, things and places, the idea of passing from one state to another, the unperceivable things, the illusion and metamorphosis are the founding themes of her work. Alongside her artist work, she works as an illustrator since 20 years, mainly for the French and international press but also in various other fields.
