For more than 20 years, a civil war has been turning an area the size of Western Europe into hell on earth: the Congo War has been the conflict with the most victims ever since the Second World War. It has long ceased to be a question of ethnic differences, but above all of control over raw materials. The dead run into the millions, the perpetrators go unpunished. In the summer of 2015, Milo Rau and his team realized “the most ambitious political theater project that ever came on stage”. In the war zone he invited victims, militiamen, government representatives, members of the opposition, entrepreneurs and representatives of international organizations to the »Congo Tribunal«.
