Publisher Note
“Die Letzte” is the 2008 diploma publication of the graduating class of the Zurich University of the Arts' fine arts program and brings together 23 conversations and photographic portraits. Instead of current works by the graduates, this issue presents all the diploma students on a double-page spread, supplemented by a photograph.
The interviews were conducted by Burkhard Meltzer and Stefan Wagner. They deal with the works, main and secondary issues without much digression and provide a quick and unclouded insight. For the picture section, Zurich photographer Basil Stücheli visited all the graduates at work with his camera and took wonderful portraits and atmospheric pictures.
The 23 double-page spreads introduce 24 new names from the Swiss art scene and also invites you to make the one or other discovery this year too.
