"Today there are new and different problems but gender equality persists, and has its most evident and dramatic representation in femicide. Civil rights so painstakingly won are too often ignored and contested: free choice of motherhood means not having to choose between career and motherhood, denying that equality at work which is still effectively denied. Free choice to express oneself in the forms that each individual feels he is and represent, respecting the freedoms of others, is a goal to be achieved.

Reflection work and feminist practice had led us to understand that sexual repression was the focal point, the central knot for relegating us to a subordination and anchoring it to roles in the blackmail of motherhood and love. Today a new nascent feminism made up of young people who are confronted with history and previous experiences bodes well, but there is no doubt that the path is impervious and all to be built. The project of this book was born from the need not so much to tell my story as a photographer, but from the need to share memory and emotions, in the hope of collaborating in that better world that we have worked with so much passion for, and will continue to work. "
