Ulrich Hakel’s work includes a conceptual and formal painting, sculpture and installation. A central theme in his work is human failure within power structures and the media. Hakel’s work refers to specific aspects of social systems and their restrictions critiquing through comics and free graphic gestures. The book is the artist’s first monograph, which appears with his exhibition at Kunstraum Innsbruck.
