Publisher Note

As volume 9 of the paperback series fink twice – after ten years and at the same time as the new publication “What live could be / the ambivalance of success” by Fucking Good Art – a re-edition of the out-of-print title “The Swiss Issue” is published.
“Fucking Good Art” is an international magazine published in casual succession by the artists Nienke Terpsma and Rob Hamelijnck. Since 2003, almost 40 issues have appeared in various contexts. While issues designed as single-sheet newspapers are distributed in exhibitions and offered free of charge, special issues with main topics are produced in collaboration with publishers and institutions.
“The Swiss Issue” was created in 2008 as “Fucking Good Art #20” in connection with the exhibition “Shifting Identities – (Swiss) Art Today” at the Kunsthaus Zurich and conveys an extremely complex picture of contemporary Swiss art at the time. Many of the themes addressed are still relevant today. However, there are also changes that are clearly visible in comparison with the “International Edition: Zurich – Fucking Good Art #38”, as the new publication “What live could be / the ambivalance of success” is subtitled.
