“Sightseeing. Wiederbegegnung mit Paris / Rencontrer Paris” is a trip to Paris, which for once leads neither to the Champs-Élysées nor to the bridges of the Seine. Rather, “Sightseeing” – once in the form of an exhibition in the Paris Glassbox, once in the form of the present publication – looks at the big city from a sightseeing perspective.
The works of seven Swiss artists are juxtaposed here with texts from a social science and humanities context. While the exhibition makes various aspects of sightseeing and the city of Paris readable and emotionally tangible in a creative form, the compiled explanations in this publication reflect the same topics linguistically: a charming little booklet that fits into the luggage of every Parisian traveller.
