Publisher Note
MYOPZINE is 21 self-published works by the MYOP agency.
Twenty-one stories chosen by each of the agency's photographers like the twenty-one letters that make up "Mes Yeux Objets Patients", a verse by Paul Éluard, the origin of the acronym MYOP.
This collection is the will of our photographers to offer another life to their stories. It is also the will of an agency, of a family of photographers to tell the diversity which constitutes it and which it claims.
MYOP brings together a group of authors who confront their visions of contemporary photography and their questions about today's world through the stories they tell. Since the creation of the agency in 2005, the notion of resistance is regularly at the center of the discussions; it is affirmed by the defense of a documentary photography with an assumed subjectivity. The name of the agency is an homage to Paul Éluard's poem "Mes yeux, objets patients / étaient à jamais ouverts / sur l'étendue des mers / où je me noyais ".
