Publisher Note
The «Dematerialization of the Art Object» is a book by Lucy Lippard that characterises the period of 1966 to 1972 as one in which the art object was dematerialised through the new artistic practices of conceptual art. In his same named publication Thomas Geiger rewrites this story of dematerialization in an unexpected way with pigeons as main actors.
