Publisher Note

Unlike any other printer the human printer creates unique, individual images each time it prints. Following CMYK halftones created on the computer, the human assumes the role of the machine and generates the printed product by hand.

This publication doesn’t aim to reproduce images printed by the human printer but rather document the project and process.

It has been created using a risograph, to generate a series of 115 unique books. Each publication has been manually compiled, covered and consists of pages which have been hand rubbed – adding to its imperfect nature.
