Publisher Note
A photo reportage about the country of Transnistria by the photographer Beat Schweizer, supported with texts by Urs Mannhart.
The publication is a cooperation with the magazine Reportagen and was included with the summer 2016 issue for subscribers to the magazine. Beat Schweizer received the renowned Swiss Photographer's Prize for his reportage in 2016.
This large-format publication gives the pictures and their statements sufficient space to develop. Topics such as the uncertain political situation and the concise, very narrow geographical shape of the (barely recognized) country were visually addressed and implemented in the layout in such a way that each page differs from the next and the texts remain legible "in parts".
