White Elephant is the third Japan–Book by Dino Simonett. After Yuki Yuki from 2001 and LonPari from 2003 it took him twelve years to travel again to Japan in 2015 and at least another three years to complete this small book.

The paper stock was – as far as we know – the last remaining sheets of the world famous Chromolux 800 paper in 215 gsm, a both sides mirror-glossy paper from Zanders Germany that is not in production anymore since ca. 2013
