Work for Small Change is a richly illustrated catalogue of works by Polish artist Franciszek Orłowski.
The guiding theme of the publication, as well as the artist‘s work, is the notion of work in the broadest sense. By means of his artistic activities, Orłowski explores places of work in a contemporary capitalist society suffering from an economic crisis – he addresses the issues of precarity, illegal labour, economic migration, poverty and homelessness. He approaches the subject of social class with sensitivity, at the same time asking questions about his own social position as an artist.
