Series of self published zines revolving around the concept of destructive escapism in the contexts of romantic attachment. In this project I aim to explore the matter of escapism as a copy mechanism that can turn to even more destructive experience.
First publication ( Escapism as destructive action ) is focused on my personal experience and its visualisation. Escapism is captured as the act of impulsive decisions such as unplanned trips to the unknown places, casual hookups, drinking till getting unhinged. The entire approach reminds the adult got stuck in the teenage years- living recklessly, denying responsibility and being scared to face and manage uncomfortable situations and feeling. Such behaviour refers to one the most common symptoms of personal disorder- the intensity of everything around, between and inside.
First publication contains personal pictures taken between 2021 and beginning of 2023. Here my purpose is to show escapism as never ending chaotic air of running away and numb the pain. Besides that escapism is highly romanticised
