EXOTICA revolves around and explores the question of the "self" in our current "information-society,". The self is more exposed than ever, blurring the boundaries between the private and public resulting in the fragmentation of self. The most elusive and least known phenomenon is no longer the universe, but the human being and therefore the classical categorizations of objects in the "Wunderkammer" are redefined for the human as. Artificialia, naturalia, scientifica and mirabilia have been redefined as instincts, simulacra, mind, oddities and exotica.

EXOTICA dreht sich um die Frage nach dem „Selbst" in unserer heutigen „Informationsgesellschaft". Das Selbst ist exponierter denn je und verwischt die Grenzen zwischen privat und öffentlich, was zur Fragmentierung des Selbst führt. Das schwer fassbarste und am wenigsten bekannte Phänomen ist nicht mehr das Universum, sondern der Mensch und daher werden die klassischen Kategorisierungen von Objekten in der Wunderkammer für den Menschen neu definiert. Artificialia, Naturalia, Scientifica und Mirabilia wurden zu Instinkten, Simulakren, Geist, Kuriositäten und Exotica umdefiniert.
