Simone Zaugg has been working continuously on her artistic work for ten years and has attracted increasing attention with photographs, videos, installations and performances. The catalogue of works “Neubauten der Erinnerung” provides the first overview of Zaugg’s work.
Simone Zaugg always places herself at the centre of her work. This may be as a person, by using herself as a model, or by starting out from her own memories of childhood, places, situations and circumstances in order to develop the work. The artist is less interested in self-staging than in the new definition of the image.
