While the term "storehouse" originally refers to a storage place for grain and supplies, Nadim Vardag's artist's book depicts cognitive processes in relation to etymology and semantics, and especially to the aesthetics of storage under cultural-historical and technological transformations — the volume itself representing what it is about: standing on a bookshelf, it archives a selection of Vardag's work, including drypoint etchings of knot motifs, wall objects made of beechwood slats and aluminum snap frames, and installation views of expansive sculptures that address sculptural questions of volume, surface, and material between autonomy and functionality.

Bezeichnet der Begriff „Speicher“ ursprünglich einen Aufbewahrungsort für Getreide und Vorräte, bildet Nadim Vardags Künstlerbuch Erkenntnisprozesse nicht nur zu Etymologie und Semantik, sondern insbesondere zur Ästhetik von Speichern im kulturhistorischen und technologischen Wandel ab; wobei der Band selbst ist, wovon er handelt: Im Bücherregal stehend, archiviert er eine Auswahl von Vardags Arbeiten, unter anderem Kaltnadelradierungen von Knotenmotiven, Wandobjekte aus Buchenholzleisten und Aluminiumklapprahmen sowie Installationsansichten raumgreifender Skulpturen, die bildhauerische Fragestellungen zu Volumen, Oberfläche und Material zwischen Autonomie und Funktionalität behandeln.
