Michel Mazzoni uses photography, video installation and text to explore notions such as time and space. He shows, exhibits, installs his territories. His choices are often rough, as he questions abandonment, desolation, as he seeks beauty beyond appearance. His work is imbued with a sensitivity that pays attention to the interactions between the immateriality of light, the point of view, and the requirement of the frame, like a permanent confrontation between perceptions. So he scrutinizes the maps, observes the cities, criss-crosses the surroundings, visiting erasure, and disappeared traces, he somehow realizes an archeology of the intangible and, questions, through light, long after the ephemeral . Michel Mazzoni has been working and living in Brussels since 2007, Straight in the light is his second book.
