This zine consists entirely of manipulated images and text from the U.K. media. The photographs were taken by Giles Duley as part of his work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), published in the article 'Cemetary of Souls: The Refugee Crisis on Lesbos' in The Guardian in November 2015. Stationed on the greek island of Lesbos to document the daily arrival of thousands of desperate people from Syria, Afghanistan and beyond. The text is taken from a research essay documentin the language used by five of the UK's most widespread media outlets, detailin the most common words and rhetoric used amongst them. These images and texts were compiled by Melanie Wheeler during a research project as part of the Floating Islands residency 2015 and produced for 'Am I Not Human Too' 2016 to raise money in aid of the UNHCR and other refugee charities.
