Publisher Note
Troubled waters is a visual essay of a journey with the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise, to demonstrate against oil drilling in the arctic. The photographs, oscillating somewhere between documentary and art, record of the life on board the Greenpeace ice breaker. The book closes with a large section of colour portraits of the crew and activists. The full-bleed images are printed on newspaper stock, the fragile pages being protected by sturdy embossed hard covers, somehow echoing the fragile condition of the Arctic seas, themselves in urgent need of protection.
