Utopia Centerfolds At Play brings together three artists’ projects – Brandon Isralsky’s Centerfolds and Fuckboys , Ina Jang’s Utopia, and Dean Sameshima’s Young Men At Play — to constellate explorations of censorship, ephemera, and sexuality across gender and social spectrums.
While each artist’s work employs unique visual strategies, they all begin with culturally specific, appropriated images of the body, which they treat to speak to their current perspectives, connecting geographies, nationalities, and ethnicities. The book features a uniquely designed fold-out cover that doubles as a poster as well as a must-read introduction by Mizz Even, titled Fuck Hugh.

Brandon Isralsky received his Master's in photography/videography at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
Brandon Isralsky's work is rooted in street art fashion photography; appropriating images to address misogyny, media representation, and the male gaze.
Through his experimentation/examination of graffiti culture, Isralsky—otherwise known as Mr. B aims to dismantle these ideas with spray paint, markers, and other marking tools. Mr.B's sticker of cleavage, wheat-pasted around New York City has become locally iconic.
Ina Jang (born 1982, South Korea) is a photographer based out of Brooklyn, New York. She received her BFA in photography in 2010 from the School of the Visual Arts in New York City. In 2012, she completed the school's MPS program in fashion photography.
Dean Sameshima (1971) is American visual artist. He got his bachelor degree at the California Institute of Arts, Valencia, CA and later obtained an MFA at the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, CA.
Dean Sameshima became known for his provocative nude photos investigating maleness through the creation that portrays unabashed sexual imagery while retaining a quiet vulnerability.
