Publisher Note

The catalog with accompanying “newspaper” documents a visual dialogue with the socio-political situation of London after the Brexit referendum. The city and its vastly excessive amount of signposting—a seemingly endless number of prohibitions, orders and warnings—served both as inspiration and studio. Using analogue photography, metaphors, (magic) realism, and a little coincidence as a creative tool, it highlights the fragility of the given world structures. The work fits in with the artist's latest narrative complex with the working title “Hotel Europa”.
