Erik Steinbrecher turns liquorice sweets into sticky, misshapen sculptures for his work, CANDY MAN. By boiling and soaking in water, the deformed liquorice is then placed on bottle caps and other similar objects found among rubbish to act as pedestals. The result presents these sculptures from an elevated perspective, then printed and rewrapped in its plastic casing to raise questions of representation.
