Publisher Note

Euville is a former lime stone quarry village in Lorraine, France. At the peak of exploitation it used to be one of the richest villages of France. Now, most part of the quarry is abandoned. The walls of the former exploitation mines bear still traces of the former workes as drawings, scribbles and texts. The book groups reproductions of the drawings and pairs them with excerpts from interviews with former workers and their families.
It was realised within a comission of the Nouveaux Commanditaires, proposed by the Fondation de France and it is part of the project "Paysage Industriel" of the French National Parks.
