Cologne native Daniel Giesen creates a grainy, Daido Moriyama-influenced portrayal of his beloved city. Taken on his walks through the urban landscape, the photos are divided into three parts: 'Memories and Back,' 'On the Tracks of the Dreams of the Honeycake Horse,' and 'Nearly Home.' Although definitively a 'Cologne' book (and the best to emerge in years), 'Fast Daheim' nevertheless speaks more with melancholic visual poetry than in a classic documentary style.
