Lothringer13_Florida’s program, and likewise Florida Magazine issue #05 Florida_Beyond, look at storytelling from the margins and beyond. They deal with opening up towards perspectives that tell an other story. They thereby pursue questions regarding the autonomy in determining binaries from both the „inside and outside“ or rather an abolition thereof. All of the contributions to Florida_Beyond oscillate in quite different ways and from differing standpoints between the definitions, concepts, and perspectives that can be reproduced as seemingly unanimous by society. They are the same questions that are placed in parallel or poly reading, as well as with parallel and collective work in the context of Lothringer13_Florida. They are the questions that influence us and determine which books we grab for and how we thrust histories across the margins within which they normally remain confined.
