The spectacle of a sudden, violent thunderstorm and sandstorm in Niamey in Niger is described in a sequence of fifteen original photographs taken almost casually and later reinterpreted based on pure recollection. Within the setting of this narrative, connected by time and place, simply telling the story sequentially doesn’t provide a complete understanding of the event that actually happened. What occurred is left rather uncertain. The same uncertainty links the Saharan micro-stories, told in parallel, in a letter, written by an African friend of Adriana Beretta’s, in order to brief her about a common project of theirs, building housing in Iférouane, an oasis located in the Aïr mountains.
