Publisher Note
Same format, same typeface and glassine sleeve. Everything leads us to believe that there is before us a re-edition of Ed Ruscha's famous Twentysix Gasoline Stations. Published in 1963, it is often considered the first contemporary artist's book.
Fifty-eight years later, Twentysix Ceramic Fountains takes over the visual aesthetics and function of Ed Ruscha's book. The main difference is in the subjects photographed because it is not gas stations that are revealed to us over the pages but toilet bowls from around the world.
Franck Landron (1957) is a French scriptwriter, producer and photographer.
