Publisher Note
The publication “Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst” is a product of the fictional Museum of Contemporary Art, which is constituted by the exposition of collected and multiply sampled comments on what contemporary art is and what it should be.
With supposed precision, the performances of the Museum of Contemporary Art are pure coincidence, perhaps they are also the result of an unconscious, immediate aestheticization of a seemingly scientific process. However, the works, with virtuoso handling of the media used, are convincing above all through the complexity of the structure and through the technical precision of the implementation. This art is actually not interested in anything specific, or then everything, it escapes the sedimentation character of the aesthetic; it appears sparse and the context constructed, so that the presence of the works effectively becomes an arbitrary encounter.
