Publisher Note
I ritratti della popolazione di Lentini (Sicilia), provenienti dall'archivio del fotografo Franco Lanteri, sono l'equivalente delle moderne fototessere per documenti. Scatti eseguiti tra il 1972 e il 1980, eseguiti con banco ottico su negativi di formato 6x9, richiedevano tempi di realizzazione lunghi anche alcuni giorni. Le fotografie valide all'epoca per fini amministrativi, anche se prive di un'intenzione progettuale, oggi sono diventate un affresco corale capace di restituire un clima, un periodo storico. Il loro valore pratico è diventato culturale, estetico.
