Bob Gramsma works with refrigerators, cars, motorboats, wall cabinets, lift and crane cabins or air conditioning shafts. He allows these to grow into structures of unfathomable dimensions that question our habitual ways of seeing and our established orders. With his fascinating and perceptually irritating spatial structures, Gramsma constructs new, alien worlds from familiar elements.
“Works 2003” provides a concentrated insight into a multi-layered oeuvre and documents Gramsma’s most recent projects with a variety of visual material.
