Publisher Note
Johannes Joliet shows a sand crater on the transparent sheets of his artist booklet. With the simplest of means, he succeeds in making the dual appearance of the object clear: Cone outside, tube inside. The opposing directions of gaze made possible by the transparent paper also emphasize the artist's dialogical principle: the open concept of art, closely linked to spatial and temporal experience.
