Publisher Note
‘Nostalgia’ is a series of 10 Polaroid Photographs by Edward Newton, from Rowhill Mansions, Rowhill Road, London E5. (2007-08)
Scanned and offered like pinned butterflies in a display case, they hover in a void, caught between a fetishised analogue past and an ominous digital future.
As well as records of a personal history, they are artefacts, truly original photographic objects made using chemistry and light. A memory of the concept of photographs as truth.
