174 drawings, thread stitching, 3 volumes in cardboard slipcase
Publisher Note
In 1992 the artist Monika Sennhauser brought back from Egypt a bundle of 174 drawings that deal with the sun and sunlight. The drawings show Sennhauser’s observations of the position and course of the sun. In their detailed study they become a kind of Egyptian diary, which, however, does not deal with one’s own actions and thoughts, but only with the reality of the sun. In the end – especially in this exclusiveness – the recordings also provide a picture of the observer and her interests.
